You Ain't Gettin' None...

*Inspired by  this right here  and the all around awesomeness that is-  Jacylyn Friedman. * I deeply want to eradicate any language that describes sex as an act that is given by a woman to a man:  Are you gonna let him hit? Should I give him some? She gave it up last night, dog.  Rather, I should say I want to destroy the attitudes about sex that implicate it as anything less than an equal exchange between two consenting parties. If we didn’t look at sex as a woman “giving it up”, then I wouldn’t care less if a woman was inclined to say she “gave him some”. Because the implication would be that he gave  her  something, too. I’ve gotten the same questions repeatedly from friends regarding my past casual sex partners (not necessarily the specific men in question, but the entire concept of a casual sex partner as a whole):  “Does he really respect you?”, ” Are you f*cking or getting f*cked?”, “Why would you give it up to someone who doesn’t want to b...

Sexuality and Your Zodiac Sign

Shhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh... don't tell anyone but the Zodiac sign are a guilty pleasure of mine. I am always wondering how true the zodiacs are when it comes to one's personality and the way they may carry themself.  Astrology is so much more fun than astronomy where you have to learn factual data about the universe and the objects that inhabits the solar system. Astrology deals with the signs of the zodiac as it relates to month and day of your birth. Because of that factual evidence about astrology everyone was born under one of the zodiac signs because signs were quite popular in the 80's and it was almost like a good morning greeting for someone to ask you about your zodiac signs. Because sexuality is a part of the oldest profession, it is unlikely that the sexual connotations of your zodiac sign will be outdated. A book written called Sex Signs by Judith Bennett talks about every woman's astrological sign to sexual prowess. The twelve zodiac signs are Aries, Taurus,...

The goal is to not be jaded...

I believe in timing.  That's why finding "the one" isn't a huge priority. Yes, I work to make sure I'm reading when said person comes along. Yes, I try to make sure I'm aware so I don't miss said person. (I'm not sure you can miss "the one" if that's what they are, and you if you do maybe they aren't or there's more than one.) Yes, I want love and all those things, but finding  men is not really what I do. Don't think it's my job. Men find, women choose. But there is a lot of work in waiting. A lot that takes place before I get to choosing. I feel like I spend a lot of my dating life paying for the mistakes of the women before me. It doesn't always come out in the beginning, but eventually I find out about a cheater or indifferent lover. At some point the huge fight where she listed all of the reasons he "ain't shit" is recounted, and I see the hurt. I see the pain. Some times it's not even the w...

How Many is too Many???

A question came into the Ask Carrie Box... How many sexual partners is too many for a woman before you stop taking her seriously? Now I am probably the worst person to ask this question to, because unlike most I don't stand to either side of this topic. What number is too high? No number and every number... Its seems mostly relative to how many partners the man has had himself that make him feel a way about how many a woman should have.... And her acceptable number is always lower than his! So if he only had 5, she shouldn't have more than 3 but it he's had 20 she shouldn't have more than 10.. I wonder what number like rappers have? Being that their number is usually in the hundreds.... Men are known for the "want to have my cake and eat it too" syndrome, you guys always seem to want a freaky woman who is open-minded and handles her business in the bedroom yet somehow you seem to want her to have that mindset having never had sex with anyone before y...
