My Favorite Poem....

In and Out of Time by Maya Angelou The sun has come The mists have gone We see in the distance our long way home I was always yours to have You were always mine We have loved each other in and out of time When the first stone looked up at the blazing sun And the first tree struggled up from the forest floor I have always loved you more You freed your braids, gave your hair to the breeze It hung like a hive of honey bees I reached in the mass for the sweet honeycomb there God, how I loved your hair You saw me bludgeoned by circumstance Lost, injured, hurt by chance I screamed to the heavens Loudly screamed Trying to change our nightmares into dreams The sun has come The mists have gone We see in the distance our long home I was always yours to have You were always mine We loved each other in and out, in and out, in and out of time

Wanted

Wanted By: Travis Montez this is not a list as much as it is a prayer a test of faith a letter in a bottle a request if you will see i have waited for hoped for never believed in but still asked for but then settled for and sabotaged i have been careless with my heart all these many, many years and even though my heart is strong and forgiving willing even to fall and break and heal and get back up my heart these days is seeking only a place to love be honest and smart be funny have passion and joy want kids care about people and the world laugh from the inside out touch me because you can't help yourself be undeniably unavoidably thankfully attracted to me see me stand up to and for me know that i would much rather be in your arms than on any pedestal be afraid of commitment or intimacy and still commit and be intimate because you can't imagine a life not close to me a life without what you know we could build cook and let me take care of the dishes lets have quiet...

Touched by an Angel (Poem)

Touched by an Angel By: Maya Angelou We, unaccustomed to courage exiles from delight live coiled in shells of loneliness until love leaves its high holy temple and comes into our sight to liberate us into life. Love arrives and in its train come ecstasies old memories of pleasure ancient histories of pain. Yet if we are bold, love strikes away the chains of fear from our souls We are weaned from our timidity In the flush of love's light we dare be brave And suddenly we see that love costs all we are and will ever be. Yet it is only love which sets us free.
